These pictures are stunningly beautiful. I know Midway airport well - on Central Ave. I used to live on Narragansett Ave and 64th Street, so hello from a fellow Chicagoan.
I came across your blog by chance. Fascinating photos! I can see why you are so enthusiastic about flying.
These and the other photos look like screen-grabs from Flight Sim. Amazing.
