No Flying This Weekend

I took this weekend off from flying. I still owe you several log entries. I’ve done more simulated instrument training and a couple of “short” cross countries that are not yet recorded. All I have left is my long cross-country, which has to be over 4 hours to cover my remaining solo time requirements, my three hours of pre-FAA-checkride time, a simulated check-ride, and (if the simulated check-ride goes well), my FAA check-ride. The problem is that my bank account will hit empty before I’m done with all of that. I don’t know what I’ll about that, yet.

While I’m fretting about how to pay for the rest of my training, one of the other students just purchased a $400,000 amphibious plane. It’s high-performance and complex, too. Very nice, with all-new avionics and cabin interior. Lucky guy.
